Conflicto y negociación en establecimientos hosteleros: la realidad de las camareras de pìso en Baleares

Abstract

[spa] En este trabajo se exponen las condiciones laborales que comprometen la integridad física y moral de las camareras de piso de las Islas Baleares, además de analizar como un director de hotel podría ayudar a mejorarlas utilizando el liderazgo. Para ello, se analizarán primero los riesgos laborales a los que están expuestas; se definirán los términos “conflicto laboral” y la “negociación” y expresarán los diferentes tipos que se pueden encontrar; se explicará que es el liderazgo según diferentes autores que han ido estudiando el término con el paso del tiempo; y se analizarán cuales ayudan a la mejora de las condiciones de las trabajadoras, y cuales no. Las camareras de piso han creado un nuevo movimiento llamado las “Kellys” para conseguir mejorar los aspectos de su trabajo y, para obtener un punto de vista más completo de como es su situación y que debería hacer un director para ayudarlas a aliviar y perfeccionar sus tareas diarias. Para un mejor estudio de su situación laboral, se entrevistarán a cinco trabajadoras actuales que son activas del movimiento.

[eng] In this work, the working conditions that compromise the physical and psychological integrity of the housekeepers of the Balearic Islands are exposed, in addition to analyzing how a hotel manager could help them improving their conditions using leadership. To this end, the risks to which they are exposed are analyzed; it will define the terms of the "labor conflict" and "the negotiation" with it different types that can be found; it will be explained what is the leadership according to different authors who have been studying the term over time; and it will be analyzed which types will help the improvement of the conditions of the workers, and which not. The housekeepers have created a new movement called the "Kellys" to improve the aspects of their work. To get a more complete view of what their situation is and what a manager should do to help them relieve their daily tasks, five current workers who are active in the movement have been interviewed.
