Distribución de la oferta de alojamiento cicloturístico en Mallorca a partir del metabuscador Cycling Friendly

[spa] El cicloturismo es la actividad desestacionalizadora que más ha contribuido a transformar los establecimientos de alojamiento turístico, exigiéndoles importantes inversiones encaminadas a proporcionar las instalaciones y servicios que esta práctica deportiva requiere. Este trabajo pretende analizar la distribución de los establecimientos hoteleros especializados en cicloturismo en Mallorca a partir de la oferta especializada que ofrece el metabuscador Cycling Friendly y comparar su cobertura territorial con otros operadores. A través del análisis de los datos facilitados por el metabuscador se han localizado la totalidad de establecimientos que se encuentran asociados a él, de acuerdo a su tipología y nivel de prestación de servicios al cicloturista, lo que ha permitido analizar la calidad de la oferta y relacionarla con el resto de productos turísticos que se ofrecen en estas mismas zonas. Finalmente, se ha analizado la relación entre la localización de los establecimientos y la proximidad a las rutas cicloturísticas que ofrecen tanto el Consell de Mallorca como el propio portal Cycling Friendly y se han realizado estimaciones del número de cicloturistas que Cycling Friendly y el operador Hüerzeler podrían estar alojando en la temporada marzo-abril-mayo/septiembre-octubre. Las cifras arrojan unas cifras de estancias de 5.969.448 que equivalen a 686.143 cicloturistas/temporada, lo que cuestiona claramente las estimaciones oficiales realizadas. Se concluye que la actual oferta de alojamiento adherida a Cycling Friendly ha contribuido a mejorar la competitividad de la oferta turística de la zona noroccidental de la Serra de Tramuntana (Andratx y Calvià) y también de la zona central de Mallorca, en el que se ha constatado la incorporación de casas vacacionales a la oferta de alojamiento cicloturista

[eng] Cycle tourism is the seasonally activity that has contributed to transforming tourist accommodation establishments, requiring significant investments aimed at providing the facilities and services that this sporting practice requires. This work aims to analyze the distribution of hotel establishments specializing in cycling tourism in Mallorca based on the specialized offer offered by the Cycling Friendly metasearch engine and compare its territorial coverage with other operators. Through the analysis of the data provided by the metasearch engine, all the establishments that are associated with it have been located, according to their type and level of provision of services to the cyclist, which has made it possible to analyze the quality of the offer and relate it to the rest of the tourist products offered in these same areas. Finally, the relationship between the location of the establishments and the proximity to the cycling routes offered by both the Consell de Mallorca and the Cycling Friendly portal itself has been analysed, and estimates have been made of the number of cyclists that Cycling Friendly and the operator Hüerzeler could be staying in the season March-April- May/September-October. The figures show figures for stays of 5.969.448, equivalent to 686.143 cyclists/ season, which clearly questions the official estimates made. It is concluded that the current offer of accommodation adhered to Cycling Friendly has contributed to improving the competitiveness of the tourist offer in the northwestern area of the Serra de Tramuntana (Andratx and Calvià) and also in the central area of Mallorca, in which confirmed the incorporation of holiday homes to the offer of cycling accommodation.
