La importancia de las lenguas y su uso en el sector hotelero

Abstract

[spa] ¿Responde la enseñanza del inglés en la Facultad de Turismo de las Islas Baleares a las necesidades de la industria turística? El objetivo de este Trabajo Fin de Grado es analizar las necesidades actuales de la industria del turismo de las Islas Baleares, e investigar de qué manera los planes de estudio de la Facultad de Turismo responden a estas necesidades. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo una investigación en la que se ha analizado la perspectiva de los docentes y los hoteleros de las islas. Los resultados de las encuestas revelan que actualmente hay deficiencias en los métodos de enseñanza. Existe de este modo una brecha entre lo que los planes de estudio de lenguas extranjeras en la Facultad de Turismo de las Islas Baleares proporcionan y lo que la industria del turismo realmente necesita. Se proponen algunas ideas de mejora que podrían hacer que estos métodos fueran más eficaces. A modo de conclusión, se espera que con esta investigación se ayude a reconocer los fallos y los cambios necesarios en el sistema educativo.

[en] Does the teaching of English in the Faculty of Tourism of the Islands Balearic Islands meet the needs of the tourism industry? The objective of this BA Thesis is to analyze the current needs of the tourism industry of the Balearic Islands and investigate how the curricula of the Faculty of Tourism respond to them. For this purpose, a survey has been conducted in which the perspective of teachers and hoteliers of the islands has been analysed. The results of the questionnaires reveal that there are currently deficiencies in the teaching methods. There is thus a gap between what the foreign language curricula in the tourism faculty of the Balearic Island provide and what the tourism industry really needs. Some innovative ideas are proposed that could make these methods more effective. It is expected that this research will help to recognize the failures and the necessary changes in the education system.
