[esp] La protección de un derecho humano como es el acceso a una vivienda digna guarda una especial relevancia ya que está estrechamente relacionado con otros derechos humanos, como son el acceso a la salud o a la intimidad, y conlleva procesos de exclusión social que sufren aquellas personas que no pueden subsanar sus necesidades. La ineficiencia de las escasas medidas en materia de vivienda establecidas por el Estado, s umado a la finalidad lucrativa de los bancos, dieron lugar a numerosas compras de viviendas en propiedad durante el boom económico que han desembocado en constantes ejecuciones hipotecarias, desahucios y sobreendeudamiento en plena crisis económica. Como resultad o a la ineficiencia del sistema frente a esta situación, surgen algunos movimientos ciudadanos que luchan de una manera altruista para la protección social de las personas que se ven afectadas. La Plataforma de Afectados por la hipoteca es el principal mov imiento surgido con la finalidad de abordar la problemática. El impacto que sobre las familias ha tenido la desprotección del derecho a la vivienda queda reflejado en los testimonios que nos han facilitado los representantes de la Plataforma y las familia s afectadas.

[eng] The protection of the basic Human Right of access to a decent housing is a matter of special interest because it’s closely related with other Human Rights as such as the Right of Health and Intimacy and it entails processes of social exclusion suffered by those who can’t achieve their necessities on their own. The inefficiency of the few measures on the dwelling issue established by the state plus the financial interests set by the banks gave place to a huge amount of house buying during the financial boom. This massive and compulsive buying has led to constant foreclosures , evictions and indebtedness in the middle o f an economic crisis. As a result of the lack of competence given by the system in this matter, they have emerged some movements configured by people who fight with altruism to achieve the social 3 protection of those who are affected by the situation. The P latform of Mortgage Affected is the principal movement emerged with the interest on working on some solutions for this social problem. The impact that’s caused this lack of protection on dwelling rights has been reflected in families testimonials that have been given to us by the representatives of the Platform and some affected families.
