[eng] As a result of the current social movements connected to gender awareness
and perspective, gender inclusion has increasingly started to be considered in
the field of secondary education schools all around the world. Nonetheless,
studies focusing on stereotypes connected to families, family types, and
non-traditional families have not been central in the field of gender studies. This
dissertation focuses on proving the lack of attention that family diversity has
received in the context of education. It aims to demonstrate the importance of
educating adolescents with a focus on diversity and inclusion, specifically in the
EFL classroom. For this aim, it puts forward a didactic proposal that aims to
present a series of inclusive activities designed to be applied in a secondary
educational context to contribute to students' education regarding family
diversity, unconventional structures, and stereotype awareness. To do so, a
literature review will be done to exemplify the current situation and provide the
basis for the development of the didactic proposal.
