La conquesta de Jerusalem per Cneu Pompeu (63 a.C.) segons el relat De Bello Judaico de Flavi Josep

[cat] Les campanyes militars són un dels aspectes més famosos de la civilització romana i una de les més desconeguda és la que va dur a terme Cneu Pompeu a la ciutat de Jerusalem al 63 a.C. Un període molt convuls dintre la política romana ja que està situat entre la caiguda de la República i l’inici de l’Imperi. L’autor que millor narra els fets de la campanya contra la ciutat jueva es Flavi Josep, a la seva obra De Bello Judaico. Per una banda, s’ha fet un estudi dels antecedents del bàndol romà i del bàndol jueu per saber que va dur a Pompeu a estar-hi en aquella zona oriental. Mentre que per l’altre, s’ha fet un anàlisi de la qüestió jueva durant la conquesta i la posterior dominació romana.

[eng] Romans are famous for their military campaigns, and one of the most unknow is the conquest of Jerusalem by Gnaeus Pompeius in 63 B.C. It was a turbulent period considering that episode is located between the fall of the Republic and the beginning of the Empire. The author who is the best narrates the events of the campaign against the Jewish city is Flavius Josephus in his work De Bello Judaico. On the one hand, this study has been made of the antecedents of the roman and the Jewish sides to know what led Pompeius to be there in that eastern area.
