El turisme obscur. Morbositat o mèmoria històrica?: El cas de Dachau i Nanjing

[cat] Cada any milions de persones visiten llocs amb antecedents truculents, però aquesta pràctica no es cosa recent. Des de segles enrere, els turistes han mostrat interès per destinacions mòrbides o macabres, aixecant dubtes sobre la moralitat dels visitants i productors a la vegada. Però, què és el que atreu tanta gent a aquests llocs? Què els motiva? És una experiència realment immoral? A través de l’anàlisi de la literatura sobre turisme obscur i de dues destinacions, Nanjing i Dachau, és pot arribar a la conclusió de que no tan sols no és immoral sinó més be una forma de recordar als visitants fets històrics que no haurien de tornar a ocórrer

[eng] Every year millions of people visit places with gruesome backstories, but it isn’t new. Since centuries ago, tourists have shown interest in morbid or macabre destinations, raising doubts about the morality of visitors and producers alike. But what is so attractive about these places? What are their motivations? Is it really an immoral experience? Through the analysis of the literature on dark tourism and two destinations, Nanjing and Dachau, one can conclude that not only it is not immoral but rather works as a reminder of history that should not repeat itself.
