Evaluación del turismo médico en España: turismo reproductivo

[spa] El turismo reproductivo es la práctica por la que personas salen de sus países de residencia a otros con el objetivo de recibir tratamientos de fertilidad. España se ha posicionado como líder mundial en este campo, pero ¿Qué hace a este país tan atractivo para aquellos con problemas de fertilidad? Desde su gran infraestructura médica, hasta su regulación y la cultura, varios son los motivos por los que estos extranjeros deciden visitar España. A pesar de ser un tema rodeado de debates y controversia en ocasión, a través de este trabajo, se puede ver que este sector no solo lleva años creciendo, sino que no parece que vaya a dejar de hacerlo.

[eng] Reproductive tourism is the act of people travelling outside of their countries of residence to others with the purpose of receiving fertility treatments. Spain has positioned itself as a world leader in this industry, but what makes this country so attractive to those with fertility problems? From its great medical infrastructure to its regulation as well as culture, there are various motives as to why these foreigners decide to visit Spain. Although it is a topic surrounded by controversy and debate at times, through this project, it is shown that not only has reproductive tourism grown exponentially over the last years, but it seems will continue to do so.
