El Lupus Eritematós Sistèmic i el seu efecte en la vida professional d’un músic

[cat] El lupus és una malaltia autoimmunitària crònica en la qual el sistema immune ataca els teixits i òrgans del propi cos. Aquesta condició pot afectar diverses parts del cos, com la pell, les articulacions, els ronyons, el cor, els pulmons, el cervell i altres òrgans. Les persones amb lupus poden experimentar una ampla gamma de símptomes, que poden ser lleus o greus, i poden variar al llarg del temps. Alguns dels símptomes més comuns inclouen inflamació i dolor en les articulacions, erupcions cutànies, fatiga, febre, mal de cap, dolor muscular, problemes renals i molts altres. Una característica distintiva del lupus és que pot tenir un curs molt variable, amb períodes de brots aguts seguits de períodes de remissió. La causa exacta del lupus encara no és totalment compresa, i la malaltia pot afectar persones de totes les edats, encara que és més comuna en dones en edat fèrtil. (Cervera,R. Gómez-Puerta, J.A. 2008) Com a principal objectiu, basarem el treball en la demostració de com pot arribar a afectar el Lupus eritematós sistèmic (LES) en la vida professional d’un músic, centrant l’estudi en un cas molt concret i en el seu dia a dia, complementant també en petites intervencions d’altres casos semblants al del subjecte principal. Per altra banda aquest estudi intentarà donar visibilitat a les persones que sofreixen malalties cròniques com el LES i com és la seva vida en el dia a dia professional en el món de la música.

[eng] Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks its own tissues and organs. This condition can affect various parts of the body, such as the skin, joints, kidneys, heart, lungs, brain, and other organs. Individuals with lupus may experience a wide range of symptoms, which can be mild or severe, and may vary over time. Some of the most common symptoms include joint inflammation and pain, skin rashes, fatigue, fever, headache, muscle pain, kidney problems, and many others. A distinctive feature of lupus is its highly variable course, with periods of acute flares followed by periods of remission. The exact cause of lupus is still not fully understood, and the disease can affect people of all ages, although it is more common in women of childbearing age. (Cervera,R. Gómez-Puerta, J.A. 2008) As a primary objective, we will focus on demonstrating how Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) can impact the professional life of a musician, concentrating the study on a very specific case and their daily routine, while also supplementing with brief insights from other similar cases to the main subject. Furthermore, this study will seek to raise awareness for individuals suffering from chronic illnesses such as SLE and how their daily professional life is in the music industry.
