Los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la Agenda 2030 y el Turismo en las Baleares

Abstract

[spa] Este trabajo se propone explorar críticamente la situación del turismo en las Islas Baleares, con especial atención a su relación con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), con el objetivo de ofrecer ideas que contribuyan a mejorar las medidas existentes para la sostenibilidad y proponer nuevas vías de investigación. El crecimiento experimentado por la industria turística en las Islas Baleares en las últimas décadas ha generado impactos tanto positivos como negativos en la sociedad y el medio ambiente. Es fundamental realizar un balance exhaustivo y aplicar medidas efectivas para mitigar los impactos adversos. En este contexto, diversas organizaciones del sector turístico han implementado el concepto de Turismo Sostenible, alineado con la Agenda 2030 y sus 17 ODS. Este estudio buscará analizar de manera crítica la efectividad de estas medidas y propondrá estrategias innovadoras para avanzar hacia un turismo más sostenible en las Islas Baleares.

[eng] This paper aims to critically explore the situation of tourism in the Balearic Islands, with a particular focus on its relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in order to offer insights that contribute to enhancing existing sustainability measures and proposing new avenues for research. The growth experienced by the tourism industry in the Balearic Islands in recent decades has resulted in both positive and negative impacts on society and the environment. It is essential to conduct a thorough assessment and implement effective measures to mitigate adverse impacts. In this context, various organizations within the tourism sector have embraced the concept of Sustainable Tourism, aligned with the 2030 Agenda and its 17 SDGs. This study will critically analyse the effectiveness of these measures and propose innovative strategies to advance towards a more sustainable tourism model in the Balearic Islands.
