Retos y nuevas perspectivas para la catalogación del patrimonio fotográfico

[spa] El avance tecnológico ha sido fundamental en la evolución de la fotografía, y la catalogación y gestión de los objetos fotográficos se ha visto forzada a adaptarse a herramientas diseñadas para la descripción de otro tipo de recursos. Con la llegada de la denominada Era oscura digital, los desafíos se han intensificado, surgiendo nuevos enfoques para describir estos recursos en el contexto digital, especialmente relacionados con la web de los datos enlazados. Este estudio propone una reflexión sobre el tema y aboga por la necesidad de integrar herramientas específicas que permitan la automatización de la gestión y la recuperación precisa de este tipo de fondos.

[eng] Technological progress has been fundamental in the evolution of photography, and the catalogation and management of the photographic objects, has been forced to adapt to tools designed for the description of other types of resources. With the advent of the so-called Digital Dark Ages, the challenges have intensified, and new approaches to describe these resources in the digital context have emerged, especially related to the web of linked data. This study proposes a reflection on the subject and advocates the need to integrate specific tools that allow the management automation and accurate retrieval of this type of collection.
