La pintura como testimonio histórico: investigando la sociedad y la cultura a través del arte

Abstract

[spa] El uso de la imagen pictórico-artista en el contexto didáctico actual de nuestras aulas tiene una potencialidad y ofrece unos beneficios bien conocidos por muchos de los docentes. Esta potencialidad y beneficios son especialmente significativos en relación con la asignatura de Historia, siendo utilizada la representación pictórica como fuente de información. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar e incluir el arte como fuente de información primaria en la asignatura de Historia, profundizando en la importancia del recurso artístico-visual como fuente de información, haciendo hincapié en todos sus beneficios didácticos, sus pautas para un buen uso en dicho contexto y sus posibilidades interdisciplinares. La propuesta didáctica se enfoca en el cuarto curso de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, utilizando una situación de aprendizaje para acercar la imagen artística al alumnado y promover la adquisición y análisis de conocimientos históricos. El objetivo es proporcionar una visión directa del pasado y de las influencias históricas, sociales, culturales y artísticas que perduran en la actualidad. Las investigaciones hasta ahora realizadas en torno al uso de la imagen artística en el contexto didáctico demuestran su rápida adaptabilidad y gran utilidad. Siguiendo estas máximas la situación de aprendizaje propuesta se presenta útil, adaptativa, significativa y competencial e incide en todo momento en aspectos necesarios para su correcto y efectivo desarrollo. Teniendo esto en cuenta se anima a la utilización de la imagen pictórico-artística y otros recursos, productos y metodologías de la Historia del Arte no solo en el contexto histórico sino también en otros campos del conocimiento y el saber.

[eng] The use of the pictorial-artistic image in the current didactic context of our classrooms has a potential and offers benefits well known by many teachers. This potential and benefits are especially significant in relation to the subject of History and the use of pictorial representation as a source of information. The aim of this paper is to present and include art as a primary source of information in the subject of History, deepening in the importance of the artistic-visual resource as a source of information, emphasizing all its didactic benefits, its guidelines for a good use in this context and its interdisciplinary possibilities. The didactic proposal is aimed at the fourth year of Compulsory Secondary Education, using a learning situation to bring artistic images closer to students and promote the acquisition and analysis of historical knowledge. The objective is to provide a direct view of the past and the historical, social, cultural, and artistic influences that endure to this day. The research so far carried out on the use of the artistic image in the didactic context shows its rapid adaptability and great usefulness. Following these maxims, the proposed learning situation is presented as useful, adaptive, meaningful, and competent, and always affects the necessary aspects for its correct and effective development. The use of the pictorial-artistic image and other resources, products and methodologies of Art History is encouraged, not only in the historical context but also in other fields of knowledge and learning.
