Els materials de construcció a Mallorca a través de la documentació històrica (segles XIV-XVIII)

Abstract

[cat] El present estudi és una crítica històrica, amb raonaments científics i tècnics, sobre els materials de construcció emprats a Mallorca durant cinc-cents anys. S’han seleccionats i desenvolupats els materials per la seva naturalesa pètria, vegetal, metàl•lica i vítria, així com els diferents conglomerants utilitzats per a la confecció de morters. La documentació bàsica del treball, és essencialment històrica, amb aportació de coneixements propis de la formació acadèmica de l’autor, complementada amb algunes crítiques històriques d’altres investigadors. El treball aporta i analitza algunes tècniques i elements arquitectònics on apareixen els materials estudiats, avui desfasats per la tecnologia moderna. És tracta d’un envit a la recuperació i protecció del patrimoni constructiu de Mallorca i un modest referent per l’estudi i restauració dels elements arquitectònics construïts dins els període estudiat en aquest treball.

[eng] This study is a historical criticism, scientific and technical reasoning, on building materials used in Mallorca for five hundred years.They have been selected and developed materials for its stone, vegetable, metal and glass nature and different binders used for making mortars. The basic documentation of the work, is essentially historical, with input from expertise of the academic background of the author, supplemented with some historical criticisms of other researchers. The work provides and analyzes some technical and architectural elements where the studied materials, today outdated by modern technology appear. It is a stake in the recovery and protection of the heritage of Mallorca constructive and modest reference for the study and restoration of the architectural elements built within the period studied in this paper.
