Madres adolescentes e intervención de la Unidad de Trabajo Social: Hospital Universitario Son Espases

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente trabajo pretende profundizar en el fenómeno de la maternidad adolescente en el Hospital Universitario Son Espases. Los objetivos que se propone son: analizar el volumen de madres adolescentes atendidas por las trabajadoras sociales de la Unidad de Trabajo Social del Hospital en los años 2011 y 2012, el perfil de éstas y características comunes e intervención realizada por las trabajadoras sociales. También, persigue ser una herramienta de reflexión y fundamento para poder definir posibles cambios en las estrategias de intervención. La investigación se compone de un parte cuantitativa, que consiste en unos cuestionarios que se completan con la información obtenida en las historias sociales de todas las madres adolescentes atendidas por las trabajadoras sociales de la unidad. Y una cualitativa, que se fundamenta en la realización de una entrevista semi-estructurada a las trabajadoras sociales que realizan las intervenciones en el Hospital. Los resultados obtenidos fueron analizados teniendo como referente los objetivos de la investigación.

ABSTRACT This paper aims at analyzing the phenomenon of teenage pregnancy in the Hospital University Son Espases. The proposed objectives are to: analyze the volume of mothers attended by social workers of the Social Work Unit of the Hospital in the years 2011 and 2012, the profile of these and common characteristics and intervention by social workers. Also aims to be a tool for reflection and foundation to define possible changes in intervention strategies. The research consists of a quantitative part consisting of questionnaires that are completed with the information obtained from the social histories of all mothers attended by social workers of the unit. And qualitative, which is based on the realization of a semi-structured interview social workers who carry out interventions in the Hospital. The results were analyzed using as a reference investigation targets.
