Análisis contable de dos empresas hoteleras: NH Hotel Group y Barceló Corporación (2009 - 2013)

[eng] The weight of tourism in 2013 represented 11.4% of GDP in the Spanish State, besides being Spain the second country in the world in terms of tourism revenue, so the services sector is a key driver in an economy, the Spanish, hit by the crisis in other important sectors. Therefore it was considered appropriate to make an accounting analysis of two of the leading hotel chains in our country and determine what the real situation of such companies within the sector. We are going to study the information collected primarily in the annual accounts in financial and management matter and we will compare it each other. The aim is predict and to draw conclusions about the state and development of the two chains in recent years, to see which one works best in the industry, being able to extract useful and reliable results that can assist in making economic and financial decisions as well as in management accounting.

[spa] El peso de la actividad turística significó en 2013 un 11,4% del PIB en el Estado español, siendo además España el segundo país del mundo en materia de ingresos turísticos, por lo que el sector servicios representa un motor fundamental en una economía, la española, mermada por la crisis de otros sectores importantes. Por todo ello se ha considerado oportuno realizar un análisis contable de dos de las cadenas hoteleras más punteras en nuestro país y así determinar cuál es la situación real de tales empresas dentro del sector. Estudiaremos la información recogida principalmente en las cuentas anuales en materia financiera y de gestión y la compararemos entre sí. La finalidad es pronosticar y obtener conclusiones sobre la situación y evolución de las dos cadenas hoteleras en los últimos años, para ver cuál de ellas opera mejor en su sector, pudiéndose extraer resultados útiles y fiables que puedan servir de ayuda en la toma de decisiones económico-financieras así como en materia de contabilidad de gestión.
