El cáncer es una enfermedad que presenta hoy en día una elevada tasa de morbilidad y mortalidad. El tratamiento farmacológico predilecto son los citostáticos, impiden el desarrollo y la multiplicación de las células tumorales, y van acompañados de efectos secundarios resultado del tratamiento de quimioterapia. Desde un abordaje psicooncológico, es de suma consideración entender la relación cuerpo-mente y su relación a nivel fisiológico. Por ello el objetivo de este trabajo es analizar cómo afecta el estado de ánimo en los pacientes oncológicos y la relación existente con los síntomas percibidos al recibir tratamiento de quimioterapia. Además se busca saber de qué manera afectan los distintos factores psicosociales y estados emocionales en relación al transcurso de la enfermedad y respectivo tratamiento.
Métodos:
Como fuente de información para la realizar la búsqueda bibliográfica de los artículos utilizados para la finalidad de este trabajo utilicé las bases de datos: PUBMED, CINAHL, PSYCINFO, IBECS y Google Académico como buscador. Obtuve un total de 164 artículos, de los cuales seleccioné un total de 22 artículos para ejecutar mi trabajo.
Resultados: Los estudios demostraron que el estado de ánimo en los pacientes oncológicos tiene un efecto tanto en el resultado de la quimioterapia como una repercusión en los síntomas comunes durante el transcurso de la enfermedad e inducidos por el tratamiento.
Conclusiones: El diagnóstico de cáncer tiene un fuerte impacto psicológico en los pacientes oncológicos. Tras el análisis de la literatura seleccionada se entiende la importancia de un apoyo y seguimiento psicológico desde un inicio de la enfermedad hacia este grupo de pacientes.

Cancer is a disease that has a high morbidity and mortality rate today. The preferred pharmsacological treatment are cytostatics, hinder the development and multiplication of tumor cells, are accompanied by side effects resulting from the treatment of chemotherapy. From a psychooncological approach, it is of utmost importance to understand the body-mind relationship and its relationship at the physiological level. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze how mood affects in cancer patients and the existing relationship with the symptoms perceived when receiving chemotherapy treatment. It also seeks to know how different psychosocial factors and emotional states affect the course of the disese and its treatment.
Methods:
As a source of information for carrying out the bibliographic search of the articles used for the purpose of this work use the databases: PUBMED, CIANHL, PSYCINFO, IBECS and Google Scholar as a search engine. I obtained a total of 164 articles, of which I selected a total of 22 articles to execute my work.
Results: Studies have shown that mood in cancer patients has an effect on both the outcome of chemotherapy and an impacto on common symptoms during the course of disease and induced by treatment.
Conclusions: The diagnosis of cancer has a strong psychological impacto on cancer patients. After the analysis of the selected literatura it is understood the importance of psychological support and follow-up from the beginning of the disease to this group of patients.
