[eng] This paper provides a definition of yield management and different tools
that can be applied to optimize its implementation and usage. It will be
described the implementation process, some characteristics to take into
account regarding the role of the revenue manager and some other issues that
might influence the customer perception of variable pricing application.
After defining some theoretical aspects, it will be discussed some traits to
be considered in the application of yield management in the airline, hotel and
cruise industry and in other industries in a lower extension.
Finally, this paper also describes how easyJet as same as some other
brands of the easyGroup benefits from yield management implementation.
