Situació del sector del taxi

[cat]L’objectiu inicial del treball es fer un repàs històric del que coneixem avui com a sector del taxi, quan parlem de sector, entenem que el componen els taxis i els arrendataris de vehicles amb conductor. En primer lloc, realitzem una retrospectiva de la història posant èmfasi en el període del segle XX, on el taxi, igualment que la resta del mercat Espanyol, es va veure greument afectat per la Primera i la Segona Guerra Mundial, i també per la Guerra Civil i la conseqüent postguerra. Seguidament, passem a analitzar les claus del conflicte entre les associacions de taxistes i empreses com Uber i Cabify. Certs canvis en la LOTT, que es la llei que regula el transport terrestre, van provocar protestes i vagues dirigides a Uber i Cabify, i al seu sistema de treball. En concret, el problema resideix en la regulació dels taxis i les fortes barreres d’entrada al mercat. Una clau important del sector es que els taxis i les VTC només competeixen a un segment del mercat i, a més, aquestes últimes no tenen fixades per llei unes tarifes, encara que si han de complir requisits a l’hora de aconseguir una llicència. En darrer lloc, s’exemplifica la relació directa del sector del taxi amb el monopoli posant èmfasi en la problemàtica de l’increment del preu, en concret de les llicències i, de forma indirecta, del preu dels viatges.

[eng]The main objective of this report is doing a historical review of what we know as The taxi Sector, formed by taxis and renters of vehicles with driver. Firstly, we will make a retrospection of the history, highlighting the 20th century, when the taxi was critically affected by First and Second World Wars, later by the Spanish Civil War and the post-war period. Then, we will analyze the keys on the Taxi Organizations and Uber, Cabify companies' conflict. Some changes on the regulation law caused protests and strikes on the taxy sector. This protests were about Uber and Cabify's working system. The key problems are Taxis Regulation and high entry barriers to this market. A main key on the sector is that Taxis and VTC only compete on a market's segment and, moreover, VTCs have no fixed taxes, although they have to fulfill the requirements when they try to get a licence. Finally, I will illustrate with examples the direct connection between Taxi sector and a Monopoly, highlighting the problem on rising prices on licences and, indirectly, on traject prices.
