Industrias resistentes del calzado en Mallorca, 1970-2010

Abstract

[spa] En la presente investigación se pretende mejorar la comprensión acerca del proceso de del calzado vivido durante los años comprendidos entre 1973 y 2010 en Mallorca. La isla, caracterizada por su auge económico en calzado durante muchísimas generaciones y su carácter internacional, va perdiendo fuerza debido a una serie de acontecimientos externos negativos e inevitables para la industria así como por la mala estructuración de esta. Se observa un sector de calzado resistente durante años pero que finalmente aminora su importancia en la economía debido a una reinversión de capital en empresas de construcción y mayoritariamente, de turismo.

[eng] The present research aims to improve the understanding of the depression process of the footwear industry which lived in Mallorca from 1973 to 2010. The island, characterized for its economic boom in footwear sector for so many generations and for its international character, it has been losing strength in the Balearic economy at the same time that it has been fighting against a lot’s of negative and inevitable external issues for the industry as well as internals problems. Having a look in this investigation, you could analyze how resistent was the Majorcan footwear industry but finnally, industries like tourism and construction catch up more importance in the economy
