Dificultades en las matemáticas: Discalculia

[spa] La discalculia es una disfunción del cálculo que afecta significadamente al rendimiento escolar. La población infantil afectada oscila entre un 3% y el 6% y se suele detectar entre los seis y ocho años de edad, es decir, durante el primer ciclo de Educación Primaria, aunque ya hay señales en la etapa de educación infantil. A todo esto, hay que saber distinguir entre un niño al que le dan mal las matemáticas y otro que realmente tiene dificultades en el aprendizaje de éstas. Además, en la mayoría de los casos, es un retraso que se evidencia únicamente en las matemáticas. Algunas señales de alerta, aunque no se pueden generalizar, son dificultades en: recordar tablas de multiplicar, interpretar enunciados de problemas, confusión de los signos, invertir número.
