[eng] The present project for Degree final has the aim of analyzing, and the study of, the importance of school field trips. It also reflects, through influential theories in modern educational Psychology, on how direct contact with the natural environment can influence the cognitive and social development of the individual.
Furthermore, this paper gives us an understanding of how active methodology, both direct and motivational, on the part of the teacher can contribute to the construction of both the teaching and learning processes. It is important to point out that the process always has to come from child’s own interest and experience with a close natural setting. It is therefore fundamental that, at the time of programming, planning and carrying out field trips, the best teaching project has the optimum content and is able to generate suitable behaviours towards nature.
Finally, a trip to the Serra de Tramuntana is proposed which will allow the students to experience, and acquire through constructive learning, the significance of the different topics included in Social Science as a subject as set out in the Balearic Islands Curriculum. |
