| dc.description.abstract | [eng] With the population growth in the last years, aquaculture has gained strength offering improvements for the farming of species. However, it has been noticed that fishes suffer from stress if their surroundings are not appropriate, even affecting their reproduction, growth and quality overall. In this study, through the HPLC analysis of brain monoamines (DA, 5-HT and NA), their precursors (DOPA and 5-HTP) and metabolites (DOPAC and 5-HIAA), the study has focused on the effects of environmental enrichment in two brain areas (Telencephalon and Cerebellum) of Sparus aurata. This environmental enrichment helps the individual to find itself in conditions that improve its own well-being. The results obtained in this study, indicate an increase of monoamines and metabolites, mainly in the Cerebellum in those animals that have been under the enriched environment. As the fishes have had to avoid the obstacles that have been placed in the enriched environment, the results obtained could be linked to a greater motor activity. | ca |
| dc.description.abstract | [cat] Amb el creixement poblacional d’aquests darrers anys, l’aqüicultura ha agafat força permetent oferir millores en el cultiu de les espècies. Tot i això, s’ha vist que els peixos, sofreixen estrès si el seu entorn no és l’adequat, influint a la reproducció, creixement i qualitat. En aquest estudi, mitjançant l’anàlisi per HPLC de monoamines cerebrals (DA, 5-HT i NA), els seus precursors (DOPA i 5-HTP) i metabòlits (DOPAC i 5-HIAA), s’ha estudiat l’efecte de l’enriquiment ambiental a dues regions del cervell (Telencèfal i Cerebel) de Sparus aurata. L’enriquiment, ajuda a l’individu a trobar-se amb unes condicions que milloren el benestar d’aquest. Els resultats obtinguts en aquest estudi, indiquen un augment de monoamines i metabòlits, en aquells animals que han estat sotmesos a enriquiment ambiental, principalment en el Cerebel. Com que els peixos han hagut d’esquivar els obstacles que se’ls hi ha posat com enriquiment ambiental, els resultats obtinguts es podrien relacionar amb una major activitat motora. | ca |
