La dona al cinema neorealista italià

Abstract

[cat] El paper de la dona dins l’art va començar a ser qüestionat arran dels moviments feministes que van originar-se als anys seixanta als Estats Units i Europa. Concretament dins la teoria fílmica feminista, han estat nombroses les teòriques que han reflexionat sobre aquesta qüestió per entendre quins papers o rols han estat atorgats a la dona al llarg de la història del cinema. Sobretot, s’han considerat per a aquests estudis, les pel·lícules del cinema negre nord-americà, en què les dones apareixen cosificades. En aquest treball hom ha optat pel neorealisme italià atès que va en paral·lel amb el film noir nord-americà, però és un producte artístic molt diferente – i, per tant, també ho serán els seus personatges – a causa dels contexts polític i social de cada país. També s’estudiarà la figura de la dona dins aquest moviment cinematogràfic, analitzant i classificant els personatges en arquetips

[eng] The role of women in art started to be questioned as a result of the feminist movements that originated in the sixties in the USA and Europe. Specifically within feminist film theory, many studies have deliberated this subject in order to understand the roles that have been assigned to women throughout the history of cinema. Above all, films belonging to the American film noir genre –in which women typically appear objectified– have been considered in these studies. This paper focuses on the Italian neorealism movement given that it appeared at the same time as the American film noir genre; although it is a very different artistic product and so are its characters. This paper also studies the role of women in this genre, analysing the characters and classifying them by archetype.
