[eng] In this study we aim to compare the predicting capacity of the dimension Sluggish Cognitive Tempo (SCT) with the behavior of inattention (IN) of the ADHD diagnosis in the DSM-5 about internalized, externalized, and academic performance behaviors. Both families (father and/or mother) and tutors assessed a sample of 60 children from 1st and 6th grade. They used the following scales: Sluggish Cognitive Tempo (SCT), inattention (IN) behaviors of the ADHD diagnosis in DSM-5, typical behaviors of children's anxiety (AN), typical behaviors of depression (DEP), typical behaviors of hyperactivity/impulsivity (HI) of the ADHD diagnosis in DSM-5, typical behaviors of Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) of and academic performance (AP). The scales of SCT and IN are strongly correlated: .687 for the families and .767 for the tutors. In the regression analysis we controlled the mutual influence of both predicting variables. In the family's measures the SCT shows an effect on the DEP and AP scales. On the other hand, IN shows an effect in HI, ODD and RP. In the tutors' measures, SCT shows an effect on
the DEP, HI and AP scales, whereas IN shows an effect on HI, ODD and AP scales. We conclude, as expected, that the SCT dimension has greater predicting power in the internalized behavior DEP, whereas IN predicts better the externalized behaviors HI and TND and both dimensions are significant in AP.
