La formación inicial del profesorado en España y Finlandia

[spa] La formación inicial del profesorado se puede definir como la etapa formativa anterior al desempeño de la profesión docente, que consiste en transmitir los conocimientos y competencias básicas al futuro docente. Han sido varios los investigadores que han afirmado la relación que hay entre la formación inicial docente y la calidad del profesorado, siendo esta última uno de los temas claves para la mejora de la calidad del sistema educativo. El objetivo de este estudio es comparar la formación inicial docente entre Finlandia, país con mayor rendimiento en las pruebas PISA, y España, país donde se realiza el estudio, prestando especial atención a los mecanismos de selección para la entrada a programas de formación del profesorado y analizando las principales diferencias en la formación del docente.

[eng] The initial teacher training can be defined as the formative which consists of transmitting knowledge and basic skills in the future teacher. There have been several researchers who have affirmed the relationship between the initial teacher training and the quality of the teaching staff, the latter being one of the key issues for improving the quality of the education system. The objective of this study is to compare the initial teacher training between Finland, the country with the highest performance in the PISA tests, and Spain, the country where the study is carried out, paying special attention to the selection mechanisms for entry to teacher training programs and analyzing the main differences in teacher training
