L’educació a la II República espanyola i els efectes de la Guerra Civil

Abstract

[cat] La Segona República va marcar un punt d'inflexió en la història d’Espanya. A través de l'educació es va voler construir un model de societat marcat pel laïcisme, la coeducació o la l'ensenyament públic i gratuït. Es pretén acabar amb l'analfabetisme i la incultura de la societat espanyola de la època, a partir de l'educació. L’oposició política, les diferències ideològiques, la crisi mundial del 29 i la Guerra Civil Espanyola foren fets que van dificultar la implantació de mesures que afavoreixen la consecució dels objectius anteriors. L’educació intenta ser el pilar que aconsegueixi la unió i estructuració del país, a partir de reformes educatives, la construcció d’escoles, millores en la formació del professorat i la creació de nous projectes o institucions dignes de fer menció. La Segona República és un dels moments a destacar en la història educativa del país.

The Second Republic marked a turning point in the history of Spain. The education was the chosen way to build a model of society based of secularism, coeducation and a public and free teaching. It aims to end the illiteracy and the uncultivated of Spanish society of the time starting from the education. The political opposition, the ideologial differences, the global crisis from 29 and the Spanish Civil War were the facts that hindered the implantation of measures that favored the achievement of the previous goals. The education tries to be pillar that achieves the union and structuring of the country from educational reforms, building schools, improvements in teaching training, creating new projects or institutions worth mentioning. The Second Republic is one of the moments to highlight in the educational history from Spain.
