Competencias y funciones del equipo directivo de un centro educativo

Abstract

[spa] El presente proyecto intenta abordar la importancia que tiene la dirección escolar en un centro educativo público y, con ella, el fundamental papel del director en dicha institución pública. Por ello, a continuación, se mostrará una exposición de las competencias, funciones y características que ejerce el líder de un centro educativo, además de las dificultades que conlleva realizar y desarrollar sus funciones. Antes de entrar en materia, se explica de manera general la evolución del papel de la dirección a causa de los cambios sociales en la historia de nuestro país y por otro, los cambios legislativos que han tenido lugar en España durante los últimos años. Para finalizar, se exponen de manera resumida el papel directivo en sistemas educativos europeos en los que se podrán observar las características directivas y sus resultados.

[eng] The present Project attempts to address the importance of school management in a public school and, with it, the fundamental role of the principal in that public institution. For that reason, below is a presentation of the competencies, functions and characteristics of the leader of an educational centre, in addition to the difficulties involved in carrying out and developing their functions. Before going into the subject, a general explanation is given of the evolution of the managerial role due to social changes in the history of our country and, on the other hand, the legislative changes that have taken place in Spain in recent years. To conclude, the management role in European education systems in which the management characteristics and their results can be observed are summarised.
