Como influye la sexualidad en la calidad de vida de la gente mayor

[spa] Actualmente, la educación, la cultura y el ámbito social son algunos de los fenómenos que han provocado que no se dé la importancia que corresponde a la sexualidad de las personas mayores, considerándose como un tema tabú, hasta llegar al punto de ignorarse. Sin embargo, la sexualidad de este grupo de personas también es importante, aludiendo al hecho, que frecuentemente se pasa por alto, a causa de los prejuicios sociales. Así mismo, el proceso de envejecimiento, generalmente se asocia a consideraciones perjudiciales dentro del ámbito de la sexualidad, tales como el desinterés de los y las mayores, el pensamiento que solo es un acto exclusivo de jóvenes y/o adultos, o su deficiencia para las relaciones sexuales en sus últimas etapas.

However, the sexuality of this group of people is also important, alluding to a fact that is often overlooked due to social prejudice. Likewise, the aging process is generally associated with harmful considerations within the field of sexuality, such as the disinterest of the elderly, the thought that it is only an exclusive act of young people and/or adults, or their inability to sexual intercourse in its later stages.
