Aportació econòmica dels hotels de ciutat a Palma

[cat] Tot i que el turisme a Mallorca neix a la ciutat de Palma a principis del segle XX, el model turístic que es va consolidar posteriorment va ser el de “sol i platja” a les zones costeres. Aquest fet, s’explica principalment pels booms turístics dels anys cinquanta i seixanta. Per altra banda, després de la crisi de l’any 2008, sembla que la capital balear torna a ser un punt turístic atractiu pels visitants de l’illa. Així, a través de l’anàlisi de la història, la aportació econòmica i el paper general dels hotels a Palma s’estudiarà el desenvolupament d’aquest turisme complementari de ciutat.

[eng] Although tourism in Mallorca was born in the city of Palma at the beginning of the 20th century, the tourism model that was later consolidated was that of “sun and beach” in coastal areas. This is mainly due to the tourist boom of the fifties and the sixties. On the other hand, after the crisis of 2008, it seems that the Balearic capital is once again an attractive tourist destination for island visitors. Thus, through the analysis of the history, the economic contribution, and the general role of the hotels in Palma, the development of this complementary city tourism will be studied.
