La influencia de las redes sociales en la Salud Mental de los adolescentes

Abstract

[spa] El presente trabajo consta de un análisis sobre la manera en la que las redes sociales afectan a la salud mental de los adolescentes. El interés que me ha llevado a realizarlo es el nivel de apego que la mayoría de la población joven tenemos a Internet y a sus formas de comunicación virtuales. Despertó en mí una curiosidad por ahondar sobre este tema y el hecho de que un avance tecnológico que ha traído muchas ventajas, por ejemplo, la cantidad de recursos virtuales que tuvimos que poner en práctica durante la época de pandemia; puede a su vez afectar a la salud mental de tantos jóvenes. Lo que convierte el objetivo de este trabajo a investigar si dicha influencia es positiva o negativa. Para ello, se ha realizado una revisión sistemática mediante evidencias empíricas de los distintos estudios y registros analizados.

[eng] This research consists of an analysis of the way in which social networks affect the mental health of adolescents. The interest that led me to carry it out is the level of attachment that most of the young population has to the Internet and its virtual ways of communication. It caused in me a curiosity to investigate into this topic the fact that a technological advance that has brought many multiple advantages, for instance, the amount of resources we had to put into practice during pandemic times; can at the same time affect the mental health of so many young people. The aim of this paper is to inquire into whether this influence is positive or negative. To this end, a systematic review has been carried out through empirical evidence from the different studies and records analysed.
