Mapeo gráfico y análisis de la estructura intelectual y conceptual del e-learning mediante un enfoque bibliométrico

Abstract

[eng] This master’s thesis presents a bibliometric review and a map of the intellectual and conceptual structure of the research on distance learning and e-learning. The purpose of this paper focuses on several fields of research and offers a comprehensive approach, on how e-learning has been approached. Using various bibliometric techniques of productivity and graphic mapping, this document assesses the evolution research has experienced, the most productive authors, the most influential, and the research topics that have been addressed since distance learning in the seventies until the forced implementation of on-line learning during the pandemic. The findings reveal that the publication of papers has increased exponentially over the last 20 years, highlighting the evolution of topics. Among other contributions of this work, we can highlight that it offers the intellectual, social, and conceptual structure of the research over a long period of time, gathering the growing literature of research progress on e-learning.

[spa] Este trabajo de fin de máster presenta una revisión bibliométrica y mapeo de la estructura intelectual y conceptual de la investigación sobre aprendizaje a distancia y e-learning. El propósito de este trabajo se centra en varios campos de investigación y ofrece un enfoque global, sobre cómo se ha abordado el elearning. Utilizando diversas técnicas bibliométricas de productividad y mapeo gráfico, se evalúa la evolución que ha experimentado la investigación, los autores más productivos, los más influyentes y los temas de investigación que se han abordado desde la enseñanza a distancia en los años setenta hasta la implantación forzosa de la enseñanza on-line durante la pandemia. Los resultados revelan que la publicación de trabajos ha aumentado exponencialmente en los últimos 20 años, lo que pone de manifiesto la evolución de los temas. Entre otras contribuciones de este trabajo, podemos destacar que ofrece la estructura intelectual, social y conceptual de la investigación durante un largo período de tiempo, recogiendo la creciente literatura de los avances de la investigación sobre e-learning.
