[eng] A contextualised reading of a selection of moralising, religious and literary texts by authors such as Francesc Eiximenis, Bernat Metge, Isabel de Villena and Joan Roís de Corella illustrates the differentiated way in which dance is considered under the former Crown of Aragon. The quoted examples serve to amend the idea that the medieval period
was characterized by a wholesale condemnation of dance, and, by extension, of woman and everything that has to do with the body.
