Explorando nuevos caminos para el catalán en el paisaje lingüístico del turismo en la Bahía de Palma

[spa] En la medida en que las lenguas locales son parte del patrimonio cultural de un destino turístico, podemos sugerir un necesario vínculo entre 'lengua' y 'turismo'. Al hilo de lo anterior, nuestro interés en el presente capítulo se centra en el grado de visibilidad del catalán en el paisaje lingüístico de la Bahía de Palma, las posibles razones que subyacen a su visibilidad, y la identificación de nuevos caminos que pudieran potenciar la presencia del catalán en el paisaje lingüístico de la Bahía.

[eng] As the local languages are part of the cultural heritage of a tourist destination, we can suggest a necessary link between 'language' and 'tourism'. Therefore, our interest in this chapter focuses visibility degree of Catalán in the linguistic landscape of the Bay of Palma, the possible reasons behind this grade of visibility and by identifying new pathways that may boost the Catalán presence in the Bay's linguistic landscape.
