Els canvis del model de turisme ha anat canviant recíprocament, és a dir, els turistes de cada cop demanden més vivendes per llogar durant les seves vacances, però això també és possible gràcies al gran augment d’oferta de cases, apartaments o finques que la gent local ofereix. Amb això vol dir, que no només ha canviat la mentalitat del turista, sinó també la dels nous propietaris d’aquestes vivendes. Un factor molt important que ha ajudat i ha fet possible aquests canvis, és el tecnològic, a través del qual propietaris i hostes es posen en contacte, la majoria de vegades a través d’un intermediari.
