[cat] La teràpia psicomotriu en grup, o Grups d’Ajuda Psicomotriu, fins fa uns anys s’havia limitat,
bàsicament, a l’àmbit sanitari, reeducatiu o d’Educació Especial.
[eng] Until recently, group psychomotor therapy or Psychomotor Support Groups were basically
limited to health, re-educational or Special Education sectors. However, this practise is
increasingly spreading to the educational field. This expansion benefits other children who
may have difficulties when receiving this kind of support outside the school. In the following
writing activity, the diverse contributions in the psychomotor therapy field are reviewed.
Moreover, in this statement it is explained the way how an experience of psychomotor
support groups in the educational field is developed, analysing specifically the
implementation at CEIP Pintor Joan Miró, in Palma. These groups enable children who attend
these therapies, to overcome unfavourable personal situations and to improve the acquisition
of cognitive, learning, interaction and socialization processes. Consequently, more fluent and
positive group dynamics in the classrooms are possible thanks to the improvement in
psychological and emotional field of each child. Therefore, Psychomotor Support Groups are
one more way to enrich and diversify the assistance and support, favouring the inclusion
process.
