[eng] When a young person commits a foul or a crime of little gravity is immersed in a justice
system that enforces judicial measures to correct their behavior. These minors are not
only punished according to law, so also receive a socio-educational attention from
educators of open regime involved in order to reintegrate young people into society.
Measures in open regime, for his educational character, are resources increasingly
used. Thus, this study aims to analyze the good practices carried out by educators of
opened regime with the group of young offenders. In the same way, the study also aims
to identify weaknesses of interventions, as well as the effects for minors being in contact
with the juvenile justice.
To do this, we used three basic sources of information: the first, a documentary
literature search, both nationally and internationally, marking the theoretical bases; the
second, the result of interviews conducted to the team of opened regime of the Balearic
Islands; and the third, the available results of research on the effectiveness of measures
in opened regime.
The results show that the measures of opened regime are effective to prevent the
recidivism. Likewise, interventions carried out by professionals of opened regime are
beneficial to minors because serve as a warning to end criminal careers.
