[eng] A premature infant is an infant born at a gestational age of less than 32-37 weeks and less than 1,000-1,500g and may present medical complications such as the onset of a disorder like ASD. The aim of this document is to investigate whether there is a relationship between prematurity and ASD. This research was carried out through a systematic review of 25 scientific and research documents. A lower gestational age, low birth weight, clinical and social factors reflected in the document, among others, are conditions for the onset of ASD in premature infants. Thus, it could be stated that the relationship between the two concepts is present, although there is still much research to be done and the literature must continue to advance in order to be able to intervene early. The school must participate in the diagnosis of the infant, therefore, teachers must receive more training in this area in order to be able to intervene qualitatively and thus be part of the two processes: the detection and intervention of the premature infant. |
