[eng] The academic self-concept conditions the motivation of the students to a task. Generated
expectations of the own abilities are created, on one hand, by personal factors referred to
emotions and representations created from the own image and the one of the other, and on
the other hand by contextual factors as the climate of the classroom which can generate the
wish to learn as well as the affective relations arisen by the group dynamic. The teacher is
responsible for controlling these factors in the classroom and creating some high
expectations for his pupils in order to help to increase his self-concept to achieve a positive
appreciation of self-efficiency. Consequently, they will improve their ability to pass some
tests.
