Beneficis de la tecnologia per a l'aprenentatge de l'anglès (com a segona llengua) a les aules de primària

[cat] Actualment, la llengua anglesa destaca per ser la lingua franca, és a dir, d’ús internacional, exercint un paper fonamental pel que fa a la comunicació global, els negocis, la ciència i la investigació, d’entre altres àmbits. És per aquesta raó que el foment per dominar aquest idioma va creixent en l’àmbit educatiu. La motivació per treballar l'anglès des d'una edat primerenca és de cada vegada més evident, ja que els mestres són conscients que ofereix als infants tant avantatges acadèmiques significatives com habilitats pel seu futur professional. Aprofitar els recursos que poden oferir les Tecnologies de la Informació i Comunicació - referenciades a partir d’ara com a TIC - per millorar i facilitar aquest aprenentatge a les aules de primària sembla una opció idònia, ja que pot generar molts de beneficis relacionats amb la gestió de les sessions, els recursos o materials digitals disponibles i la immersió efectiva i motivadora pel procés d’aprenentatge de l'idioma, tant pels alumnes com pels docents. Els objectius principals d’aquest treball se centren a dur a terme una recerca exhaustiva de la literatura existent que giri entorn de la temàtica proposada (els beneficis de les TIC per aprendre ESL - English as a Second Language - a aules de primària) per tal de contrastar distintes opinions i analitzar la informació per arribar al coneixement sobre quins són realment aquests beneficis dels quals es parla i com els docents en poden fer ús. Un altre objectiu d’aquest treball és analitzar si l'associació de l’aprenentatge d’anglès i les TIC és un tema freqüentment investigat o si, per contra, s’hauria de considerar ampliar la literatura d’aquest tema per tenir més informació sòlida i concisa en un futur.

[eng] Nowadays, English stands out as the lingua franca, that is to say, the language of international use, playing a fundamental role in global communication, business, science and research, among other areas. It is for this reason that the promotion of mastery of this language is growing in the educational sphere. The motivation to work with English from an early age is increasingly evident, as teachers are aware that it offers children both significant academic advantages and skills for their professional future. Taking advantage of the resources that Information and Communication Technologies - now referred to as ICT - can offer to improve and facilitate this learning in primary school classrooms seems an ideal option, as it can generate many benefits related to the management of the sessions, the digital resources or materials available and the effective and motivating immersion in the language learning process, both for students and teachers. The main objectives of this paper focus on carrying out an exhaustive search of the existing literature on the proposed topic (the benefits of ICT for learning ESL in primary school classrooms) in order to contrast different opinions and analyze the information to arrive at knowledge about what these benefits are really being talked about and how teachers can make use of them. A further aim of this paper is to analyze whether the association of English language learning and ICT is a frequently researched topic or whether, on the contrary, consideration should be given to expanding the literature on this topic in order to have more solid and concise information in the future.
