[eng] This degree thesis has been to investigate the different pedagogies considered within the
Els Molins Nursery School and specifically the Montessori method and its influence on
it. This methodology is based on the idea that the child is an innate learner and should
therefore be given the freedom to do so. He maintains that to make this possible, other
fundamental aspects are important such as respect for individual rhythms, free choice, the
teacher plays the role of guide, the materials are meticulously chosen, spaces with good
distribution, care and order.
The work consists of two parts. The first one, is the one that brings together the theoretical
framework on the most significant methodologies for the hatchery, the Reggio Emilia
Schools with pedagogical reference Loris Malaguzzi, the Wild-"Lion-Sleeping"
Marriage, Emmi Pikler and in a more extensive way the Montessori pedagogy has been
researched. The second part is an analysis of the implementation of the Montessori
method within the nursery, looking in depth at aspects such as the environment, materials
and the role of the educator. The information has been collected from direct observation
during daily practice and my professional experience within the centre.
