Les Intervencions Assistides amb Animals (IAA) en infants amb trastorns del neurodesenvolupament

[cat] Davant la necessitat de construir una societat basada en la igualtat d'oportunitats, aquest treball de fi de grau insisteix en la importància d'apostar per la investigació d'intervencions adequades en l'àmbit de l'educació escolar. En aquest cas, es fa un repàs a les teràpies assistides amb animals (TAA) com una metodologia innovadora i amb grans beneficis pels infants amb trastorns del neurodesenvolupament. La utilització d’animals amb finalitats terapèutiques ha existit des de fa molts anys. Els beneficis psicològics, cognitius, físics, motors i socioemocionals que aporten els animals revelen l’eficàcia d’aquest tipus de teràpia alternativa. En l’actualitat n'existeixen una gran varietat amb unes característiques i trets diferents en funció dels aspectes que es volen treballar o dels beneficis que aporten amb relació al tipus de trastorn. Així i tot, es farà especial èmfasi a les teràpies assistides amb gossos (TAG) i a les teràpies assistides amb cavalls (TAC), ja que són els més utilitzats en aquests casos, a causa del vincle que generen aquests animals.

Given the necessity to build a society based on equal chances, this dissertation aims at highlighting the importance of encouraging the investigation of adequate intervention in the school context. Being this the objective, different assisted therapies with animals have been examined to demonstrate they are innovative teaching methodologies with great benefits with kids suffering neurodevelopmental disorders. Animals have been used with therapeutic purposes for a long time now. The psychological, cognitive, physical, motor and socio-emotional benefits provided by animals reveal the efficiency of this type of alternative therapies. It is well known that nowadays there is a great variety of this sort of therapies with different traits, and each of them focuses on the different aspects that we want to work with or the benefits they render in relation to the kind of disorder. Nevertheless, in this paper special emphasis will be laid on assisted therapies with dogs and assisted therapies with horses as they are the most frequently used animals for these purposes due to the bond created by these animals.
